Your child will be buzzing with excitement to create this adorable bee for Valentine's Day. You can create this using simple supplies and adding heart shaped doilies from the Dollar Tree.

To begin, print and cut out the oval and circle shapes on yellow paper. This will be used to make the bee's body. You can use the provided template or draw the shapes on your own.

Next add lines to the oval to add details to the bee. You can do this using a marker to draw lines. You can also use some black paint to add the stripes. If using paint, give the paint time to dry before moving on to the next step.

Draw a triangle shape on a black or gray piece of scrap paper. Cut it out and add it to the bottom of the oval.

Adding features to the bee can be added with a variety of crafting supplies. To make the bee's wings, use 2 heart shapes doilies. These heart shapes doilies are from the Dollar Tree and are perfect for crafting. To make the antennae, use a pipe cleaner cut in half. Add paper hearts to the end of the antennae. Lastly, add googly eyes to the face for the bee's eyes.

Now add all the pieces to make the Valentine bee. Glue the heart dollies to the side of the oval, and place the yellow circle on top. Next attach the pipe cleaner and glue the hearts to the end. Bend them to create an antennae. Finally add details to the face. You can googly eyes, draw a smile with a marker to the head of the bee. A cute extra detail is to add hearts to the cheeks. You can cut these out of paper or draw them on with a marker.
