Paper Bag Teddy Bear

Bears are such a lovable and cute character in books. There are so many great reads you can read with your child. One classic that is a favorite of mine is "Corduroy" by Don Freeman. This book is about a bear and a little girl. The teddy bear goes on an adventure at night to replace his missing button. This classic will be a favorite of yours.

"Bear Snores On" by Karma Wilson is one of 10 books in the bear series by the author. These books always include bear and his animal friends as they help Bear through many adventures.

After, reading a book about bears, create this simple teddy bear craft. You will simply need a brown lunch paper bag, brown paper and a marker.
Print out the bear template. You have two choice, print the template out on brown construction paper or cardstock or print and use the template as tracers.

After, cut out the pieces of the teddy bear. Glue the arms and legs onto the paper bag. Use a marker to draw details on the feet and the belly.

Glue the pieces to the paper bag.
Use your marker to draw a face on the teddy bear's head.

Next, use some plastic bags or scraps of paper to stuff the lunch bag to create the teddy bear shape.

Use plastic grocery bags or scraps of extra paper you have.
Finally, fold over the bag and staple it shut. Glue to teddy bear's head at the top of the closed bag.

A cute and simply made teddy bear craft to create with your child or classroom.
