Each child will need a print out of the leaf.

Step 2: Cut Out Paper Circles ✂️

To make the caterpillar, each child will need circles of colored paper- one for each letter of the child's name. You can choose to have these pre cut or prepared for kids or allow them to help in making the circles. I used a circle paper punch to make my circles, but you can certainly draw them by hand and cut out. I really love using paper punches, they make crafting easier and are fun for children to help with. This set of circle paper punches from Amazon is perfect, I love how there are different sizes to use for a variety of projects. They are also easy to push and make the shapes.

Step 3: Glue the Circles onto the Leaf 🧴

After, choosing circles for the caterpillar, your child will glue them onto the leaf. As your child glues, overlap the circles to make it look like a caterpillar.

Step 4: Add a Face to the First Circle

Next, use a marker to draw a face and antennae on the caterpillar. You can also choose to use googly eyes in this step.

Step 5: Write One Letter of the Name on Each Circle ✏️

Finally, have your child practice writing their name. They can write one letter on each circle in their name.

Add a letter on each circle.
