Alcohol Ink Paper for Crafting

Alcohol inks are great for creating a unique background on plain printer paper. You can easily make a bunch of these papers to have available for crafting with your children or on your own. To begin, you can create your own alcohol inks at home, follow my easy instructions for DIY alcohol ink. These are super easy to create and very inexpensive. After your inks are ready you can use a few methods for applying the ink to any kind of paper.

One method is to add the alcohol inks to a spray bottle and then spray the paper with the inks. You can vary the distance you hold the bottle from the paper to get some different effects. I recommend doing this outside in the sun. It make the process go by quicker and the paper will dry quickly in the sun. Spread out papers and do a few at the same time.

Another method is to apply the alcohol inks with a dropper. I purchased this set on Amazon and I have loves how easy they are to use, they are also great because you can match the colors to make working easier for kids.

To create a splatter effect, press the top to pick up the liquid. Then press the top to release the liquid. There will be some liquid left in the vial, then press the dropper top over your paper. Repeat this process on your paper until you are happy with the results.
